As a member of The Schmidt Investment Group, and Executive Director of Expand Hope, Lindsey appreciates the value of corporate social responsibility and building better communities. She believes in creating and nurturing trusted relationships with our clients. Her responsibilities include helping clients of The Schmidt Investment Group contribute to social change by providing children in vulnerable communities with access to education.

Industry Experience
Lindsey is the Executive Director of Expand Hope, the global impact platform for The Schmidt Investment Group. She is also the Corporate Social Impact Coordinator for The Schmidt Investment Group. She engages our clients to map out their giving strategy and meet their philanthropic aspirations in meaningful and innovative ways that lead to sustainable change.
Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Lindsey comes from very humble beginnings that have molded her into the person that she is today. She is passionate about international development, social entrepreneurship, and creating sustainable impact in vulnerable communities. One of her biggest motivations is to explore the different ways that both businesses and individuals can have more impact and make a difference in those communities.
Designations & Degrees
Lindsey holds a Degree in English and Linguistics, Post-Graduate Diploma in Media and Communication Studies, a Certificate in Public Relations Management and is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Community Engagement. She also holds certificates in Social Entrepreneurship and Human-Centered Design.
Volunteering
Lindsey is the epitome of how education can transform the lives of children all over the world, hence her dedication to projects that focus on improving access to education for all. Within the community, Lindsey sits on the African Liaison Committee that interacts with the Edmonton Police Service to help improve relations between the police and visible minorities. She also volunteers with Plus Acumen and collaborates on poverty reduction initiatives with changemakers around the world. Lindsey also personally oversees a project that helps girls stay in school in Zimbabwe.
Outside the Office
When she’s not in the office Lindsey enjoys speaking at women’s events, blogging, reading self-help and personal development books, and working on coaching programs that empower women and girls. She also enjoys spending quality time with her husband and three children.
